The issue of ban of Okada riders has raised eyebrows as state governments across the country and the Federal Capital Territory have been asked to ban the use of motorcycle as means of public transportation.
This was issued in a communiqué yesterday in Abuja at the end of the 13th Council meeting on transport held in Lagos, participants agreed that the Nigeria Inland Waterways Agency should establish an office at Alape in Ilaje local council of Ondo State.
State governments across the country and the Federal Capital Territory have been asked to ban the use of motorcycle as means of public transportation.
The question is, is this really healthy?
Some are of the believe that the government should thrive to provide jobs for the youths, as some of our university, polytechnic, college of education and monotechnic graduates have engaged in Okada business to make ends meet,so the courageous few who took to Okada riding to get busy until a better opportunity surfaces are about to be frustrated .
Others are of the believe that in the long run, the society will pay dearly for it in form of robbery and other forms of criminal activities.
Dear readers what is you take on this issue?
